At the Esri R&D Center, my main responsibility is to design and develop Esri’s default 3D web viewer on top of our JavaScript 3D API.

Esri's 3D Web Viewer, a.k.a. the Scene Viewer

The work consists about gathering requirements from customer’s usecases or to experiment with novel features. Once requirements are known, the work is then planned over 3 sprints of 3 weeks during which I design the features and develop them.

Outside of my main responsabilities, I am involved in creating small demo applications to showcase our new features. Below is a selection of contained projects I’ve conducted at Esri.

The Mars Explorer

Released on February 2021 | Visit Website

In the beginning of 2021, we developed the ability to use other planetary coordinate systems in our Javascript API. We planned it to be release at the time of the landing of the Perseverance rover. To showcase this new feature, I have designed and developed a little application allowing users to explore mars.

The Building Viewer

Released on May 2019 | Visit Website

In 2019, we released support for BIM data in our Javascript API. This allows users of our API to display building information right in the web! In order to showcase our new feature, I have designed and developed an application featuring the Turanga library of Christchurch.

The Building Viewer

Released on May 2019

BIM layers can contain a fair amount of data. In order for this layer type to be useful for our users, we shipped together with the data model, a UI widget that allows them to explorer the data. I have designed the UX of the view and the UI, and developed the widget.
