At the Esri R&D Center, my main responsibility was to design and develop Esri’s default 3D web viewer on top of the ArcGIS Map SDK.

Esri's 3D Web Viewer, a.k.a. the Scene Viewer
The work consisted about gathering requirements from customer’s use-cases or to experiment with novel features. Once requirements were known, the work was then planned over 3 sprints of 3 weeks during which I was designing features and implmeenting them.
Outside of my main responsibility, I was involved in creating small demo applications to showcase our new features. Below is a selection of contained projects I have conducted at Esri.
The Mars Explorer

In the beginning of 2021, we developed the ability to use other planetary coordinate systems in our Javascript API. We planned it to be release at the time of the landing of the Perseverance rover. To showcase this new feature, I have designed and developed a little application allowing users to explore mars.

The Building Viewer

In 2019, we released support for BIM data in our Javascript API. This allows users of our API to display building information right in the web! In order to showcase our new feature, I have designed and developed an application featuring the Turanga library of Christchurch.

BIM layers can contain a fair amount of data. In order for this layer type to be useful for our users, we shipped together with the data model, a UI widget that allows them to explorer the data. I have designed the UX of the view and the UI, and developed the widget.
